Things to do in Nerja
There is a lot to do in the cozy resort of Nerja. Of course you come here for the beach. The total length of the Nerja beach is 16 km long and is spread over several bays. The most famous beach of Nerja is Burriana.
A beautiful bay with many facilities. You can rent canoes or pedaloes. It is usually very busy here. If you prefer to go to a more quiet beach then you could look at the road between Nerja and Torrox.
Nerja is known for the stalactite caves that are just outside town. They are impressive large caves. Wall paintings from 20,000 years ago have been found here. You can get there by tourist train or public bus.
Also nice to do is to visit the village of Frigiliana that lies 5 km inland. It is a beautiful white village with many nice alleys and courtyards. You can walk in the countryside and you have beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea. Frigiliana is easy to reach by taxi or public bus. Optionally you can visit Frigiliana also organized.
Excursions and trips from Nerja
If you feel like seeing a bit more of the region, different excursions are offered in Nerja. If you like nature you could visit the spectacular nature park El Torcal.
Do you want something even more exciting then the excursion to the Caminito del Rey might be something for you; A dizzying walk at 100 meters altitude.
